Rosary- The classic devotion

The Rosary is a powerful prayer accompanied by many special promises. Originally consisting of 150 Hail Marys attributed to St. Dominic, the Rosary evolved over centuries into the devotion we practice today. Significant developments include the addition of the "Our Father" and the Mysteries by Dominic of Prussia in the 1400s, and the "O My Jesus" prayer following the apparitions at Fatima in 1917.

Beyond its value as a meditative prayer, there are 15 promises granted to those who pray the Rosary:

1. Signal graces for those who faithfully serve through its recitation.

2. Special protection and the greatest graces.

3. A powerful armor against hell that destroys vice, decreases sin, and defeats heresies.

4. The flourishing of virtue and good works, obtaining God's abundant mercy and lifting souls toward eternal things.

5. The promise that those who devote themselves through the Rosary shall not perish.

6. Protection from misfortune and an unprovided death for those who meditate on the sacred mysteries.

7. The assurance that true devotees will not die without the sacraments.

8. The plenitude of God's graces during life and at the moment of death.

9. Deliverance from purgatory for those devoted to the Rosary.

10. A high degree of glory in heaven.

11. Obtaining all that is asked through its recitation.

12. Divine aid in all necessities for those who propagate the Rosary.

13. The intercession of the entire celestial court at the hour of death.

14. Recognition as beloved children of Mary and siblings of Jesus Christ.

15. A great sign of predestination.
